BMI Songwriters Summit: Salt Lake City March 22, 2014


I’m super excited about sharing the stage with some amazing songwriters. I’ll be telling stories about some of the songs I’ve written over the years. Below is info for the show:

Hear from award winning BMI song writers Dean Dillon, Steve Dorff, and Paul McDonald. Learn all aspect of the song writing process, from concept to production. The Song Writers Summit will be held March 22nd at the Depot. THIS IS A SEATED EVENT.

Patrons 18 years of age and younger are welcome to our ALL AGES shows when accompanied by a parent or guardian that is over the age of 18. Age information will be specified for each show. Additionally, because of Utah’s curfew law any ALL AGES show has to be over by 11 o’clock P.M. on weekday’s and by 12 o’clock P.M. on Friday’s & Saturday’s
*Alcoholic beverages for 21+ will only be available on the mezzanine (3rd floor)

I’m super excited to be hitting the road again with some of my favorite people. The Hanson bros have asked me to tag along and join them for Back to the Island in Jamaica January 10th-14th! Below is all the info! Spread the word and hopefully I’ll see you guys on the beach!

Hi – Well the ANTHEM World Tour is in full swing, and as we step into winter we are even more looking forward to an incredible getaway to Jamaica for the second Back To The Island Event.

Last year’s event was incredible, but as we are always trying to take it up a notch, we have a few more announcements about what the Back To The Island 2014 is going to entail.

Guest Artists! We are proud to announce our two guest artists. After an amazing reception during the tour, it was an easy decision to invite our good friend Paul McDonald to join us. Paul is an incredible artist and we can’t wait to have him with us. Our second guest artist is another good friend, Matt Wertz! Matt most recently joined us on our last Australian tour, and everyone who saw those shows knows he puts on a really energetic show. We’re thrilled that he’s also going to join us.

Activities! After hearing your feedback from last year we decided to change things up a bit for the special activities that we are hosting. For Zac’s special activity he is not only going to be Tie-Dying with you, but you will be able to customize your actual Back To The Island merch – that way each item Zac teaches you to dye by hand will be a special memento of the awesomeness of Back To The Island 2014. For Isaac’s event, he has decided to host a special Hancyclopedia Competition (beware, Isaac is the original Hancyclopedia, so you better bring your A-game). Lastly, Taylor is going to bring the late night jams, by hosting the first official aftershow party of Back To The Island, featuring a special DJ set – you better be ready to get your freak on!

More Live Music! Now, for the most unique new announcement, we are also going to add three special shows which will be a first EVER in our band’s history. During the event, you attendees will be treated to a different mini solo concert from each member of the band. Over the years we have done a select solo song during many shows, but we have never hosted an entire set, exclusively as a solo performer. We hope you will be there to experience it with us!

Deadline Dates
*Adding extra days must be added prior to December 15, 2013. Adding days after 12/15/2013 will result in an additional $25 per change fee.
*Deducting extra days already chosen must be completed by November 18, 2013 (NO refund will be available after November 18, 2013) – NO EXCEPTIONS
*Airline information must be received no later than December 15, 2013
*If your roommate’s name is “TBA” we must receive their name no later than December 15, 2013, a $50 penalty will be assessed to add name after 12/15/12.

Cancellation Penalties
Cancellations are subject to the following schedule:

*Cancellations received prior to July 1, 2013 a full refund less $500 non-refundable deposit per person based on double occupancy or $1000 per person based on single occupancy.

*Cancellations received between July 1 and October 1, a full refund less $1000 non-refundable deposit per person based on double occupancy or $2000 per person based on single occupancy.

*Cancellations received after October 1, there will be no refund. If this were to occur, you may try to resell your room yourself, up until a specified date, in which case the new guests will be charged a $100 per person change fee

*IF you choose to resell your room yourself (between Oct 1, 2013 and Jan 1, 2014) you will have to make the total money transaction between you and the new party. There WILL be a $100 administrative fee assessed to change the names on the reservation one time, fee must be paid by new parties credit card, and must be done no later than 1/1/2014.


*Back To The Island is open to Fanclub members only. Fanclub membership must be current, and remain so through Jan 15, 2014. Should you make a booking and not have a current membership by December 1, 2013, we have the right to charge you for the current annual membership fee, in addition to the cost of your Back To The Island package.
*HANSON and Island Gigs reserve the right to refuse entry to any guest.
*HANSON and Island Gigs reserve the right to remove any guest from the event who is behaving inappropriately.

The Grand Magnolias HOTEL CAFE in Los Angeles JUNE 10TH

I’m really excited about this show….Our last gig was a New Years show with Dawes & Truth & Salvage Co. in 2010, so it’s been over two years since The Grand Magnolias have played together. It’s our first time in LA with this project, and Hotel Cafe is the perfect spot to break the ice. We’re excited about the things to come and the new music that is being made. Spread the word and hopefully we’ll see you guys at the show!
